Ocular Health Examination A Complete Assessment of the Status of the Eye
This examination consistes of checking the eye for Glaucoma, Cataracts, Internal and External Abnormalities, Muscle Imbalance, Color Vision, Depth Perception, Retinal Diseases, Visual Acuities, and Refraction for Glasses. It is a complete and thourough examination to determine not only a refractive error (if needed) but a complete assessment of the status of the eye. A Dilated Fundus Examination is usually performed to further assess the whole retinal tissue. Familiar conditions such as High Blood Pressure, Diabetes, Glaucoma, Macular Degeneration and the like are also discussed in the examination. In addition to the above testing, the doctors will go over the results and advise you of their findings and relay the necessary treatment to correct the condition.
