Dr. Miki Kitahata



Dr. Kitahata received his Bachelor of Science Degree in Psychology from Loyola University of Chicago, Illinois in 1982. In 1986 he completed his Doctor of Optometry Degree from the Illinois College of Optometry in Chicago, Illinois. He has received several recognized honors from: Who's Who Registry of Rising Young Americans, Who's Who Among Rising Americans, Who's Who Registry of Japanese Executives,
and Who's Who in Executives & Businesses. In addition to General Practice of Optometry, Dr. Kitahata is certified in the use of Diagnostic and Therapeutic Pharmaceutical Agents for the treatment of Ocular Diseases. Other specialties include Myopia Control/Containment, Orthokeratology, and the fitting of specialty lenses such as Bifocals and Astigmatism Contacts. In addition, Dr. Kitahata is trained in the Co-management of Refractive Surgeries (Lasik, PRK, Lens Implant, RK).

Dr. Kitahata is a member of the following organizations: National Eye Research Foundation, Better Vision Institute, American Optometric Association, Illinois Optometric Association , and the Fox Valley Optometric Association.



Dr. Louis Probst



Dr. Louis Probst is our TLC Laser Eye Centers surgeon. Dr. Probst is the Medical Director for TLC Laser Eye Centers Chicagoland, Windsor, Ontario and Madison, Wisconsin. He is the Assistant Professor of Anterior and Refractive Surgery at the University of Western Ontario. He completed his residency training in ophthalmology at the University of Western Ontario. Dr. Probst was selected for a surgical
fellowship in corneal transplantation and refractive surgery at the University of Minnesota, where he trained with world leaders in cornea and refractive surgery. He has treated patients from around the world with extremely complex corneal conditions.

Dr. Probst has performed over 35,000 LASIK procedures. He has lectured and trained surgeons and eye doctors throughout the world. Dr. Probst has published over 40 articles and has recently co-authored his second reference textbook entitled, "The Art of LASIK". As a leader in LASIK , Dr. Probst has developed several instruments specifically designed for refractive surgery.

Recently, Dr. Probst was one of the first surgeons in Ontartio, Canada to implant CLIs (contact lens implants) designed to correct the vision of people who have extremely high prescriptions and who may not have adequate corneal thickness for LASIK.
